Recipe: Green Bean Casserole
- 3 pkgs French cut green beans
- 1 ½ cups chopped onions
- 3 tbsps parsley flakes
- 6 tbsps butter or margarine
- 6 tbsps flour
- 3 tsps salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 pt sour cream
- 1 cup grated American cheese
- 1 cup bread crumbs
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- Cook beans according to pkg directions.
- Cook onion and parsley in butter.
- Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
- Stir in sour cream; mix well.
- Add drained green beans.
- Put in casserole and top with 1 cup grated American cheese.
- Top with 4-6 tbsps butter and 1 cup bread crumbs.
- Bake at 375 degrees until hot and crumbs are brown.
