Recipe: Pork with Peas and Pimento
- 1 pound sliced pork butt
- 1 teaspoon salt, or to taste
- pepper
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 can tomato sauce, 8 ounces
- Accent
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 1 bay leaf
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 package frozen peas, 10 ounces
- 1 small can pimento
- Brown pork. Add salt, pepper, onions and garlic.
- Cook until pork is done.
- Add tomato sauce, Accent, vinegar, soy sauce, bay leaf and water.
- Add more water if gravy is too thick.
- Add green peas.
- Cook until peas are done. Add pimento.
- Serve on hot rice.
