Recipe: Roast Whole Loin of Beef

Recipes using McCormick Whole Bay Leaves

• 10-13 lb. roast loin of beef
• 1 pkg Lipton Onion Soup mix
• 1 onion, quartered
• 1 bay leaf
• 1 carrot, chopped
• 6 whole peppercorns

1. Trim fat from beef.
2. Rub soup mix into beef and place in shallow roasting pan.
3. Bake uncovered at 375° for 1 hour.
4. Take pan from oven. Add vegetables and seasonings.
5. Cover with foil and reduce heat to 250° F.
6. Bake 5-6 hours.
7. Let cool one hour before slicing.
8. Lay slices in pan with accumulated juices.
