Recipe: Sweet and Sour Spareribs - II
- 3 lbs spareribs
- 1 1/2oz canned consume
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Cut spareribs into serving size pieces.
- Steam for 45 minutes.
- Combine in a saucepan the consomme, pineapple juice, vinegar, water, brown sugar, cornstarch, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic powder.
- Cook sauce until thick and transparent.
- Preheat oven to 350° f.
- Pour sauce over spareribs and bake for 1 hour.
