Recipe: Tailgate Subs
Tailgate Subs Ingredients
- 1/3 lb each smoked turkey, ham, corned beef
- 1/3 lb baby Swiss cheese slices
- 1 red onion, sliced into thin rings
- 2 medium red peppers, thinly sliced
- 2 medium tomatoes, thinly sliced
- Italian dressing
- Mayonaisse
- Oregano
- Crusty loaf French bread
Cut loaf French bread in half lengthwise. Scoop out centers, leaving 1/2 inch shell. Spread both halves wtih Italian dressing and oregano. Generously spread mayo over both halves. Layer meats on both halves, layer cheeses on meats, and then layer vegetables on cheese. Carefully put both halves together. Wrap foil tightly around sandwich and refrigerate. Can be prepared 48 hours in advance. Slice Tailgate Subs in 1-1/2 inch slices. |
