Heat sugar and vinegar to dissolve the sugar .Remove from heat and allow to cool.
When sugar mixture is room temperature, add the remaining ingredients and pour into a large jar.
Shake well in a jar and store in the refrigerator for at least 24 hours before using. Shake again before each use.
Makes 3/4 pint.

To make coleslaw with this dressing:

To use, add dressing to cole slaw 1/2 hour before serving.
Use only enough dressing to dampen the cole slaw and letting the dressing draw liquid water from the cole slaw.
