• 1/2 cup shortening
• 1/2 cup sugar
• 2-1/2 cups flour
• 1 egg
• 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
• 1 tsp ground cloves
• 1 tsp ground ginger
• 1/2 tsp sea salt
• 1 tsp ground cinnamon
• 1 cup molasses
• 1 cup hot water

To make Ginger Bread
Combine everything and beat until smooth (about 2 or 3 minutes). Bake at 350° F for 45 minutes or until done when tested with toothpick. May be baked in bundt pan or 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan or cupcakes.
