Lawry's Mexican Rice Seasoning Mix Less Sodium has 35% less salt than regular Lawry's Mexican Rice Seasoning. Contains 430mg sodium per serving compared to 740mg sodium per serving of regular Lawry's Mexican Rice Seasoning Mix.
Ingredients: Maltodextrin, Onion, Paprika, Sea Salt, Green and Red Bell Pepper, Garlic, Salt, Tomato, Yeast Extract, Spices (including Celery), Citric Acid, Silicon Dioxide (added to prevent caking) and Partially Hydogenated Soybean and Cottonseed Oil.
Preparation Instructions
- Lightly brown 2 quarts RICE (regular or parboiled†) in 1 cup canola oil.
- Add 1 package of Lawry's Mexican Rice Seasoning Mix Lower Sodium and 1 gallon water. Mix thoroughly.
- Bring to a boil. Cover; simmer for 25 to 30 minutes.
†Omit browning step when using parboiled rice.
To make home sized Lawry's Mexican Rice side dish: Substitute 2 cups rice, 1/4 cup oil, 1/4 cup Lawry's Mexican Rice Seasoning Mix and 4 cups water in above directions
