- 15oz box Raisin Bran
- 5 cups flour
- 3 cups sugar
- 5 tsps baking soda
- 2 tsps salt
- 4 eggs, beaten
- 1 qt buttermilk
- 1 cup melted shortening
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Combine first 5 ingredients in large bowl.
- Make a well in center of ingredients in bowl.
- Add eggs, buttermilk and shortening.
- Stir to moisten dry ingredients.
- Cover.
- Store in refrigerator until ready to bake (stores 5-6 weeks).
- To bake, spoon batter into greased muffin tins, filling 2/3 full.
- Bake for 20 minutes.
