- 3 1/2 cups sieved tomatoes
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1 clove finely minced garlic
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 tsp parsley
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp oregano
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 8-oz can minced clams with clam juice
- Mix above ingredients and simmer 1/2 hour.
- Cook very thin spaghetti (capallini) according to directions.
- Drain pasta; place into a serving bowl.
- Mix the sauce into the pasta; top with freshly grated romano cheese.
- Serve immediately.
