To make Spicy Apricot Mold

  1. Drain apricots and pineapple reserving syrups.
  2. Combine syrups with vinegar, cloves and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil. Simmer 10 minutes, strain and add hot water to make 2 cups.
  3. Pour over one 3-oz package jello. Stir to dissolve.
  4. Chill until partially set. Fold in well-drained apricot halves, cut in half, and pineapple.
  5. Pour into a 6-cup ring mold.
  6. Chill until almost firm.
  7. Meanwhile, dissolve one (3-oz) package jello in boiling water. Stir in apricot nectar. Chill until partially set. Whip until fluffy. Swirl in sour cream. Pour over first layer.
  8. Chill at least 8 hours. Serves 8.
