Steamed Chicken With Chestnuts

1 broiler (2 pounds) chicken cut into serving pieces 1. Place chicken pieces in large bowl and marinate in the following ingredients 1 hour:

• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1 teaspoon sugar
• 2 tablespoons cornstarch
• 2 tablespoons soy sauce
• 1 tablespoon gin
• 1 tablespoon onion, minced
• 1/2 cup water chestnuts, sliced

Place chicken in casserole and steam 30 minutes.
