Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Fry bacon until crisp; drain, crumble and set aside.
Peel and cut onions into rings.
Simmer onions, sugar, mustard, salt and vinegar in bacon grease.
Cover and simmer 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, drain all beans except New England style and place in a 3 qt casserole dish.
Add onion mixture and crumbled bacon to beans; mix thoroughly.
Bake for 1 hour.
