Swiss Fondue Ingredients
2/3 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
1/2 cup shredded Emmentaler cheese
2 cups light, dry white wine
1 tsp cornstarch disolved in 1 tbsp water
14/ tsp
garlic powder
1 shot blass brandy
1/8 tsp
white pepper
1/2 tsp ground
paprika
French, or Italian bread, cut into 1" cubes
To make Swiss Fondue
Warm an earthware pot in an oven at lowest temperature.
Place cheeses, cornstarch, and wine into a medium non-stick sauce pan.
Cook over high heat, stirring constantly, until cheese is melted.
Reduce heat, add spices, and brandy. Cook, stirring constantly for 1-2 minutes until all ingredients are blended.
Pour cheese fondue into the warmed, earthenware pot, and serve with the cubed bread.
