What You'll Need to make Barbecue Pulled Pork
- 1 Package of McCormick Slow Cookers BBQ Pulled Pork Seasoning
- 3 Pounds boneless pork shoulder roast (sometimes called pork butt), well trimmed of fat
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 cup cider vinegar
Directions for Cooking Barbecue Pulled Pork:
- Place pork in crock pot
- Mix McCormick Slow Cookers Barbecue Pulled Pork Seasoning, ketchup, brown sugar and vinegar until blended. Pour seasoning mixture over pork.
- Cover and cook for 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high then remove pork from crock pot.
- Shred pork, using 2 forks. Return pork to crock pot , mix and heat with sauce before serving.
Barbecue Spareribs Recipe
Substitute 4 pounds of pork spareribs, cut into 2 rib sections, for the pork shoulder roast. User 1/2 cup each of ketchup, brown sugar and cider vinegar.
Pulled Pork Recipe Variation:
Use 1 can (8 oz) of tomato sauce in place of the ketchup and vinegar.
Ingredients: Brown Sugar, Salt, Spices (Including Red Pepper), Garlic, Onion, Tomato, Sunflower Oil, Extractives of Paprika, and Natural Hickory Smoke Flavor.
