- 12 thick scallion or large green onions
- Olive oil
- 1/4 tsp white pepper
- Trim ends off scallions, leaving green portions attached.
- Place on a broiler pan.
- Combine white pepper with 1 - 2 tsp olive oil.
- Brush scallions generously with oil.
- Grill onions, turning occasionally, about 4 to 5 minutes under broiler until slightly charred.
- Serve as a vegetable side dish.
