To Make Mushroom Hors D’oeuvres

  1. Preheat oven to 400°
  2. Beat softened cream cheese until fluffy.
  3. Melt butter or margarine.
  4. Add onions and mushrooms.
  5. Sauté until mushrooms are soft.
  6. Add onions and mushrooms to cream cheese mixture and mix together.
  7. Refrigerate mixture.
  8. When mixture is cool, put on (untoasted) softened side of bread, spreading mixture edge to edge.
  9. Put bread on cookie sheet and freeze.
  10. Bag and keep on hand until needed.
  11. Bake at 400° on a cookie sheet until brown.

Recipe makes 60 to 70 servings of Mushroom Hors D’oeuvres
