McCormick Ground Mustard enhances flavors of meats, fish, fowl, sauces, salad dressings, cheese dishes, egg dishes, appetizers, and vegetables. Mustard Seeds are an important ingredient in German and Scandinavian cooking.
Unlike most other aromatic spices, McCormick Ground Mustard has no aroma when dry. It must be moistened for about 10 minutes to develop its sharp, hot, tangy flavor. Mustard is derived from two commercially important classes of herbs: Brassica hirta which produces white or yellow seeds; and Brassica juncea which produces brown and Oriental seeds.
