Nutmeg can add a most delicate and agreeable flavor to commonplace vegetables or potatoes. In Italy, Nutmeg is frequently included in the stuffings for tortellini, ravioli, or cannelloni. Nutmeg blends well with mace, cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, and ginger. Nutmeg should always be added at the end of cooking time as heat diminishes the flavor. Nutmeg is an important seasoning in Italian, Caribbean, French, Indian, German, Scandinavian, Latin American and the Middle Eastern cooking.

Sprinkle on eggnog, whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, and fruit. Add to egg and milk mixture to make French Toast.

McCormick ground Nutmeg is produced from dried nut meats of the tree Myristica fragrans Houtt.

Use McCormick Ground Nutmeg in cookies, cakes, puddings and fruit dishes. Sprinkle on eggnog. Add McCormick Ground Nutmeg to meat loaf, spinach and creamed chicken.
