English Style Fish 'n Chips Stir 1 cup of Golden Dipt Fish and Chips Batter Mix with 2/3 cups of water in a medium bowl until smooth. Dip 1 pound of cod fillets (cut into serving-size pieces) into batter. Cook in hot oil for 3 to 5 minutes. Turn once while cooking to brown evenly. Cook until golden brown and fish flakes evenly with a fork. Remove fish from oil, drain on paper towel and serve with malt vinegar, and French fries or fried potato wedges. Serve with either cocktail sauce or tarter sauce. English Fish and Chips is best made using cod, flounder, tilipia or trout.
