Lawry's Sloppy Joe Seasoning Mix 15oz 425g
Use to season ground beef, ground chicken and ground turkey.
Contains NO MSG.
Directions for making Lawry's Sloppy Joes
- Brown 10 pounds of ground beef; drain excess fat.
- add 1 package of Lawry's Sloppy Joe Mix, 3 quarts water and 1/2 # 10 can (1 1/2 quarts) tomato paste; blend thoroughly.
- Bring to a boil while stirring frequently.
- Reduce heat and simmer (covered) for 15 minutes while stirring occasionally.
- Serve on toasted hamburger buns. Makes 2 gallons of Sloppy Joes.
Recipe Variation: Southwest Joes
Add 1 # 10 can (3 quarts) drained black beans and 1 #10 can drained corn kernels plus 1 cup fresh chopped cilantro to prepared Lawry's Sloppy Joe Meat Mix. Blend thoroughly and bring to a boil while stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Yields 3 1/2 gallons of Southwest Joes.
