McCormick Slow Cookers Vegetable Beef Soup 4 x 1.2oz (34g)

Save time cooking meal with your slow cooker. This Vegetable Beef Seasoning Blend makes a delicious beef soup with only about 20 minutes preparation time.

You Will Need

• 1 package of McCormick Slow Cookers Vegetable Beef Soup Seasoning Mix
• 1 pound of beef stew meat, trimmed of visible fat, and cut into 3/4 inch cubes
• 1 can (14 1/2oz) diced tomatoes, undrained
• 1 cup sliced carrots
• 1 cup cubed potatoes (cut into 1/2 inch cubes)
• 1 cup frozen cut green beans
• 1/2 cup chopped onion
• 3 cups water

Directions

1. Place beef and vegetables into slow cooker (crock pot)
2. Mix the seasoning mix with water until well blended. Pour over beef and vegetables in the slow cooker and mix. Cover. For best results do not lift lid of slow cooker while cooking to retain heat and water.
3. Cook for 8 hours on low.

Variations For a richer flavor sear meat quickly in saucepan before adding to slow cooker.

Cook onions in a saucepan with a little olive oil until onions begin to brown then add to crock pot.

Make a Beef Barley Soup: Omit potatoes. After cooking for 7 hours add 1/2 cup of rinsed barley and 1 cup of sliced fresh mushrooms.

Simply delicious Minestrone Soup: Omit potatoes and replace with 1 can (drained) garbanzo beans (chick peas). Cook 8 hours, add 1 cup of small pasta. Cook for 20 more minutes on HIGH or until pasta is cooked.
