I went to the deli and got pastrami, salami, pepperoni and baby swiss cheese for sandwiches. I stopped and got some fresh hoagie buns, lettuce and tomatoes.

Tonight it’s going to be grilled venison burgers with sharp cheddar and summer squash sweet and sour pickles left over from last summer. I’m going to serve it with David Lebovitz’s French carrot salad. I’m so happy spring is here! I have crocus and daffodils busting out all over.

Hi Jfain! I keep waiting for my tulips to come up.. the greenery is there, but no flowers! At this point, I hope they hold off for a couple of weeks until the end of the month for the surprise party we are hosting. ;)

I could really go for something g*o*o*d tonight, but will be out until 6:30pm with no chance of getting to the store. Your idea sounds good, I could just sit and eat the pickles by themselves. Yum! Enjoy!
