You Will Need
- 1 package McCormick Meat Marinade Seasoning Mix
- 3 pounds meat such as beef, pork or lamb
- 1/4 cup canola oil
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp water
Directions for Preparation
- Use a fork to pierce less tender cuts of meat, such as chuck, round, flank and skirt steak. Do not pierce tender cuts such as sirloin, top loin tenderloin rib and ribeye,
- Mix McCormick Meat Marinade with oil, vinegar and water in a glass dish. Add meat; turn to coat well. Marinate for 15 minutes then remove meat and discard marinade.
- Grill, broil or roast meat as desired until meat is cooked through.
Variation: You may use 1/4 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice or red wine in place of vinegar in the above recipe for a different flavor.
Note: McCormick Meat Tenderizers contain bromelain, an enzyme that breaks down tissue. The enzyme action stops only when heated so tenderizers must always be used prior to cooking. If tenderizer is left on meat too long before cooking, meats will become mushy. Freezing will not completely stop the enzyme action.
