The Flavor specialists at McCormick have designed Pit Barbecue Seasoning to add a barbecue grill flavor to meats and poultry.
Rub on ribs and pork roast before grilling or baking. Shake on steaks, hamburgers and chicken before cooking. Mix into shredded beef or pork for barbecue sandwiches. Sprinkle on buttered popcorn, potatoes, and corn. Add 1 teaspoon to 1 can (16 oz.) baked beans.
Combine 2 1/2 cups catsup, 1 cup water, 1/2 cup lemon juice, 2 tablespoons brown sugar, and 2 tablespoons McCormick Pit Barbecue Seasoning. Mix well. Bring to a boil and simmer for 30 minutes. Makes 1 quart.
