McCormick has discontinued this product, but don't worry - you can still get that same great flavor! Just use genuine rum in your recipe in place of this extract.

Imitation Rum Extract may be substituted for small amounts of rum in a recipe.

Use 2 tsp of Imitation Rum Extract for 1 tbsp of dark rum, or 1 tbsp of Imitation Rum Extract for 5 tbsp of light rum.

While McCormick Imitation Rum Extract is a great flavor enhancer for cakes, cookies and sauces it is not recommended if more that 1/4 cup of rum is called for in a recipe.

Use McCormick Imitation Rum Extract to add rum flavor to custards, ice cream, frosting, whipped cream toppings, fruit salads, beverages, marinades, and Thai sauces. Imitation Rum Extract tastes delicious in breads, cakes, cookies, pie fillings, french toast, pancakes and waffles.

Ingredients: Alcohol (35%), Corn Syrup, Propylene Glycol, Water, Artificial Flavor, Caramel Color, and FD&C Yellow 5 and Red 40.
