Old Bay Seasoning is a special blend of herbs and spices created in Baltimore, Maryland USA during the early 1900's. Old Bay has a flavor that blends well with the natural flavors of fish, seafood, crabs, and chicken. Traditionally, Old Bay Seasoning is used to season blue crabs and spread over crabs before cooking which later seasons the crab meat via the crab pickers hands. Yet, Old Bay is delicious on crabs, seafood, shrimp (prawns) and, yes, even french fries (and/or hash browns).
Ingredients: Celery Salt (Salt, Celery Seed), Spices (including Mustard, Red Pepper, Black Pepper, Bay [Laurel] Leaves, Cloves, Allspice [Pimento], Ginger, Mace, Cardamom, Cinnamon) and Paprika.
