Most Paprika is mild and slightly sweet in flavor with a pleasant, fragrant aroma. Hungarian Paprika has a distinctive nip and a medium color value. Spanish Paprika is sweet with no heat at all. Sometimes Paprika is  used in generous quantities for flavor, such as with the recipes for Hungarian goulash, and chicken or veal paprikash. Paprika is an important ingredient in  Hungarian, Spanish and German cooking.
