Maryland Crab Cake Recipe
- Mix 1/3 cup Old Bay Crab Cake Classic and 1/2 cup mayonnaise.
- Gently mix in 1 lb. fresh or canned crab meat.
- Shape into 6 crab cakes.
- Fry or broil until golden brown.
For best results, do not make up more than 3 hours in advance.

Maryland Crab Cakes
- 1 pound backfin crab
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 heaping tbsp mayonnaise
- 1 heaping tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 slice bread, crust removed and finely torn into pieces
- 1/2 to 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
- Pick over the crabmeat and remove any shell.
- Mix other ingredients together. Gently mix into crab meat. If mix is too wet to hold crabmeat together, add a little more bread.
- Form into 8 crab cakes.
- Either saute the crab cakes in light olive oil, or broil.
- Cook each side until lightly browned.
Serve 2 crab cakes per person along with tarter sauce and coleslaw.
While this Crab Stick Recipe isn't a straight crab cake, you'll find it tastes absolutely delightful. The crab sticks are English Muffins covered with a mix of crab meat and Old Bay Seasoning, and then topped with cheese and baked. When you follow the recipe and cut the crab covered English muffins into thin strips, they make great appetizers. A different twist to the crab sticks recipe is to simply omit the freezing and cutting, and bake the muffins whole; then serve 1 or 2 muffin halves as a main entrée.
