The Original Old Bay® Seasoning.
Old Bay Seasoning is inseparable from seafood, especially along the Chesapeake Bay, where it has been a table staple in crab houses for generations. For blue crabs, shrimp, and crab cakes, Old Bay isn’t optional — it’s part of the experience. Its signature blend of celery salt, herbs, spices, and paprika delivers the savory, slightly spicy flavor that defines Mid-Atlantic seafood cooking.
That same bold seasoning also works naturally beyond the seafood pot. Old Bay adds depth and color to fried foods like French fries and hash browns, and brings a familiar savory kick to chicken, corn on the cob, soups, and chowders. Used sparingly, it enhances food rather than overpowering it, which is why it shows up on tables as often as it does in kitchens.
While McCormick promotes Old Bay as an all-purpose seasoning, its strongest affinity remains with seafood. That heritage is what gives Old Bay its character — and why it continues to be trusted by home cooks and professional kitchens alike throughout Maryland, Virginia, and far beyond.
Old Bay Seasoning is kosher and contains no added MSG.
Ingredients: Celery Salt (Salt, Celery Seed), Spices (including Mustard, Red Pepper, Black Pepper, Bay [Laurel] Leaves, Cloves, Allspice [Pimento], Ginger, Mace, Cardamom, Cinnamon), and Paprika.
