Old Bay Crab Cake Classic Original Maryland Crab Cake Recipe. This Crab Cake Seasoning Mix is great with canned and fresh seafood. With Old Bay Crab Cake Classic you're assured of the Best Tasting Crab Cake everytime. Simply mix with a little mayonnaise and crab meat; then form into crab cakes.

Old Bay Crab Cake Classic has everything you need to make a perfect Maryland Crab Cake. This original Maryland recipe crab cake mix turns ordinary crab meat into a Delmarva area classic.

 

Maryland Crab Cake Recipe

  1. Mix 1/3 cup Old Bay Crab Cake Classic and 1/2 cup mayonnaise.
  2. Gently mix in 1 lb. fresh or canned crab meat.
  3. Shape into 6 crab cakes.
  4. Fry or broil until golden brown.
For best results, do not make up more than 3 hours in advance.

Old Bay Crab Cake Classic is certain to make excellent crab cakes quick and easy. Some cooks want to start from scratch. So here is a homemade Old Bay Crab Cake Recipe that uses Old Bay Seasoning and is delicious too. It's a little more work than using the Crab Cake Classic, but will produce some delightful crab cakes.

This recipe for Hampton Roads Crab Cakes uses Old Bay Seasoning, egg, milk, and mayonnaise to produce a wonderful crab cake. Broil them instead of frying for a crab cake with less fat.

If you're looking for a Recipe for Delmarva Crab Cakes this one is excellent, with green pepper, and Tabasco too.

This is probably the Best Tasting Crab Cake Recipe we've tried besides Crab Cake Classic, of course. It has little filler, and is all taste and crabmeat.



Maryland Crab Cakes
1 pound backfin crab
1 egg, beaten
1 heaping tbsp mayonnaise
1 heaping tbsp Dijon mustard
1 slice bread, crust removed and finely torn into pieces
1/2 to 1 tsp Old Bay Seasoning
1. Pick over the crabmeat and remove any shell.
2. Mix other ingredients together. Gently mix into crab meat. If mix is too wet to hold crabmeat together, add a little more bread.
Form into 8 crab cakes.
3. Either saute the crab cakes in light olive oil, or broil.
4. Cook each side until lightly browned.

Serve 2 crab cakes per person along with tarter sauce and coleslaw.

While this Crab Stick Recipe isn't a straight crab cake, you'll find it tastes absolutely delightful. The crab sticks are English Muffins covered with a mix of crab meat and Old Bay Seasoning, and then topped with cheese and baked. When you follow the recipe and cut the crab covered English muffins into thin strips, they make great appetizers. A different twist to the crab sticks recipe is to simply omit the freezing and cutting, and bake the muffins whole; then serve 1 or 2 muffin halves as a main entrée.

Other Serving Ideas for Crab Cake Classic

  • Use prepared Old Bay Crab Cake Classic to stuff mushroom caps, shrimp or lobster.
  • Use prepared Old Bay Crab Cake Classic as a filling for crepes.
  • Use Old Bay Crab Cake Classic mix as a breading for fish. Roll fish in the seasoning mix, and then bake.
  • Substitute tuna or salmon for crab meat.
